My brother, Scott Hamilton, is the creative genuis behind the cover concept
for Emerald. His vision brought Kai and his adventure to life.
Scott lives in the Sierra foothills with
his wife, youngest son, and two dogs.
Map Art
The map for Emerald was designed by my father, Vern Hamilton. Without
him, I would never have been sure where the characters were at any given time. In addition to his work on the map, he and
my mother, Sharon, have spent many hours helping me edit the manuscript for publication.

to everyone who contributed to Emerald: my brother for his artistic vision on the cover, my parents and my fellow
writer friend, Eileen Martin, for editing the manuscript, and my sons who suffered through my many questions when they were
